I would like to welcome you to bluecreeklodge.com.  My name is Clay Reynolds, owner/operator. I am a veterinarian by trade which has afforded me to offer you my passion... Hunting!!!! In fact, I have been hunting for over 35 years, starting with quail and evolving into whitetail deer and eastern turkey hunting.

Blue Creek Lodge started developing some 17 years ago as a hunting club with a few of my closest friends. As the property grew and along with a little maturity, we evolved into a new level of hunting excellence... trophy hunting.  Time progressed and our emphasis evolved from quantity to quality hunting, not necessarily focusing on what has or has not been taken.

The “Lodge,” which is located on Blue Creek in beautiful east central Alabama, was purchased 5 years ago and is seated in the middle of the properties one mile from a paved road in any direction. Several properties have been added through the years and all have been managed for trophy deer and turkey hunting. Also, my cattle farm has been converted into an ideal quail hunting place and is located about 15 minutes from the lodge.
 

The Difference

I have moved away from the “crowd”.  I guess after years of dealing with a lot of people on a per day basis, time spent with my family and friends has become precious to me. Having been on several hunts out west, the thing my friends and I enjoy the most is being alone together and not getting lost in a large lodge atmosphere. For this reason I have kept the lodge small on purpose. The lodge will sleep 5 people, but the ideal group size for deer and turkey is 3 to 4 people. For quail hunts, I require a minimum of 2 hunters. In the case of a larger group, lodging is provided at a nearby resort.

My focus is providing a safe, quality, and memorable hunt. You will go home full, with a heaping helping of southern food and hospitality and you will feel what I feel before I have to go back to work...in a word... Fortunate!

With the conversion of my farmland and the addition of new property, I am offering a very limited number of white tail deer and eastern turkey hunts and an unlimited number of quail hunts depending on availability of dates and season requirements.

You won't be just "placed in the woods" like you would be with other general hunting clubs. There are close to 100 permanent stands and 50 green fields.
